Ukraine Ramps Up Production of Long-Range Weapons, Zelenskyy Announces.

According to UATV: In his address on May 23, 2023, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the harsh reality of the war with Russia, noting that it marked the 1,581st day of the full-scale invasion. The president highlighted the need for negotiations and underscored the critical importance of equipping Ukraine with air defense systems. He also congratulated the Security Service of Ukraine’s ‘Alpha’ Special Operations Center on its 32nd anniversary, expressing gratitude to the ‘Alpha’ officers for their service.
Zelenskyy stated that
“I have awarded state honors to the Alpha officers, and it is entirely deserved—their results are impressive.”He emphasized that Ukraine, both independently and together with its partners, has established production of weaponry for long-range strikes—a key step in strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
International Support and Ukraine’s Defense Capacity
Furthermore, the president reported active efforts to implement agreements reached at the G7 summit, noting:
“Today we discussed in detail with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko the tasks for the Ukraine Recovery Conference.”Zelenskyy added:
“There will be many events. The most important thing is that Ukraine receives air defense systems exactly as needed.”These statements underscore the strategic importance of international support and ongoing efforts to rebuild and bolster Ukraine’s defensive capabilities amid continued aggression.
