Zelensky announced three directions of the new sanctions policy against Russia.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced new sanctions against Russia, which will be coordinated with international partners to support other countries in the sanctions struggle against the Russian Federation. In particular, there are plans for synchronization of measures with the sanctions policy of partners, increasing pressure on the Russian tanker fleet, and introducing new restrictive measures regarding gas carriers.
The measures proposed by the president aim to complicate Russia's capabilities in the war through an expansion of financial sanctions, control over cryptocurrency, and supply of military components. The goal is to support the civilian population and reduce the impact of Russian aggression. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, intelligence services, and the National Bank have been tasked with ensuring effective application of sanctions pressure on Russia and its allies to protect the national interests of Ukraine and its allies.
