The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, defined the strategy ahead of the upcoming negotiations in Istanbul after a briefing with the leadership of the security forces. He emphasized the necessity of coordinating defense actions and diplomatic efforts, defining four key positions for Ukraine at the meeting.
According to these positions, Ukraine demands a complete ceasefire, the release of prisoners, the return of abducted children, and preparation for a high-level meeting for peace and security.
Ukraine will be represented at the negotiations in Istanbul by the Minister of Defense, while the Russian delegation has already arrived in Turkey. Earlier, threats regarding the potential loss of territories for Ukraine were expressed in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The high-level meeting will take place on July 2 in Istanbul, where key issues are planned to be resolved at the leadership level.
