New law on monthly payments for former military prisoners

According to inkorr.com: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed law No. 13627, which provides for monthly payments of 50 thousand hryvnias for servicemen released from captivity, as well as for those who require long-term inpatient treatment. This information was published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.

This law aims to expand state support for former prisoners. Now everyone who sustained injuries or illnesses during captivity can receive payments without unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles.

As noted by People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People party Anna Purto, these new payments are additional financial support, not compensation for treatment. 'This money is not for treatment, as it is fully provided by the state. These payments are support for a person who is not yet able to return to work or service,' she emphasized.

Purto also stressed that the military cannot be denied payments if they provide a complete set of documents and undergo a medical commission that confirms their health status.

In addition to monthly payments, servicemen will also receive a 'frozen' benefit regarding vacations.

Therefore, the signed law provides financial support of 50 thousand hryvnias for former prisoners who need long-term treatment or have been released from captivity. This decision aims to help those who are not yet ready to return to normal life or work.
