Zelensky signed a law on temporary reserving: new rules for employees.
Changes in labor relations regulation during the war
According to inkorr.com: Against the backdrop of the ongoing war and increasing needs of the front, the Ukrainian government continues to improve mobilization rules to ensure stability in defense and critical infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a new law that introduces changes in the organization of labor relations in wartime and expands the mechanism of temporary reserving for conscripted individuals.
The document allows enterprises in critical infrastructure and the defense industry to temporarily reserve men even if they lack military accounting documents or if they are wanted by territorial recruitment centers.
Restrictions on temporary reserving
According to the new regulations, reserving can be valid for up to 45 days from the date of signing the employment contract. During this time, employees must align their military documents accordingly. If the requirements are not met, the employer has the right to terminate the agreement. Additionally, the law establishes restrictions on the use of the mechanism: temporary reserving can only be arranged no more than once a calendar year for each employee.
The Ukrainian authorities continue to adapt the order of labor relations in connection with martial law. This law expands opportunities for enterprises in critical infrastructure and the defense industry regarding the reserving of employees, contributing to the stability of operations in these important sectors during the conflict.
These changes aim to support the country's defense capability, as enterprises operating in critical areas are in demand, and their functioning is crucial. By simplifying reserving procedures, the authorities aim to retain key specialists in necessary industries, thereby ensuring better readiness of the relevant services to the challenges of war.
