Meeting of Zelensky with students and teachers of universities in Ecuador

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held an online meeting with students and teachers of leading universities in Ecuador: San Francisco de Quito, Casa Grande, Espíritu Santo, Simon Bolivar Andean University, and the ESPOL Polytechnic School. This was stated by the President's Office.

During the conversation, Zelensky noted: 'I believe that we will be able to bring peace to our people and guarantee their safety.'

In his speech, he also thanked Ecuador for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and international initiatives aimed at protecting statehood.

Struggle for Independence and Peace in Ukraine

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine, despite shelling and a prolonged war, continues to fight and assert its independence. He stressed: 'If Ukraine has managed to withstand aggression, then any other criminal can also be defeated.'

The president also concluded: 'We cannot remain neutral. It is Russia that invaded our land.'

Zelensky noted the important role of Latin America in achieving peace and emphasized the need to prevent circumvention of sanctions and trade with the aggressor. He also reminded that it is important to help countries affected by Russia's aggression.

Recall that on May 8, the Verkhovna Rada is set to ratify the economic partnership agreement with the United States of America.
