Zelensky bought Hitler's house for $14.2 million? CPD warns of fake news.
President Volodymyr Zelensky refutes the fake about buying Hitler's house
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky denies information that he purchased Adolf Hitler's house for $14.2 million. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD), which spoke about the spread of fakes.
According to the CPD, Russian propagandists spread this fake through a pseudo-German publication. However, the article has no real evidence of this event, as there are no official documents or public data confirming the purchase.
Furthermore, the publication does not specify any dates or authors, which is typical for disinformation interventions. The website from which the article was disseminated also lacks editor contact information, and the names listed are fictitious.
CPD notes that such fakes are often spread to undermine the authority of the President of Ukraine and his family.
Earlier, a fake was also spread claiming that the president purchased a house with an underground bunker on the island of Saint Barthelemy for €17 million.
We remind you that Ukrainians received false messages from the 'Office of the President of Ukraine' that talked about 'ceasefire' and 'transferring part of the territories to the aggressor country'. This was also a fake created by Russian Internet propaganda to influence the psychological state of the citizens of Ukraine and undermine the leadership of the country.
