Dmytro Lytvyn, an advisor to the Ukrainian Presidential Office, confirmed the call took place. According to one source,
'it was a routine conversation — the president congratulated Trump on his birthday, and they managed to cover all the critical topics, including ideas for future talks.'
Participation in the G7 Summit
Both Trump and Zelensky are expected to attend the G7 summit in France next week, an event that could serve as a key venue for international diplomacy and deeper U.S.-Ukraine cooperation. Their joint presence at the G7 may have a substantial impact on bilateral relations and discussions around security and economic partnership between Ukraine and the United States.
