'We had a meeting with the President of the United States and agreed to conduct dialogue on the already existing front line. President Trump expressed support for this idea,' he explained.

'As soon as the issue of long-range capabilities for us – for Ukraine – became a little further, Russia almost automatically became less interested in diplomacy,' Zelensky revealed.

The President also noted that Russia is evading diplomacy and trying to avoid a peaceful resolution of the conflict. 'We have forced Russia to show that 'Tomahawks' are exactly the card they are weighing,' he added.

Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of long-range weapons for achieving peace in Ukraine and also highlighted the successes in preparing an agreement with European partners and establishing dialogue with the United States along the front line.
