Zelenskyy Warns: Appeasing Putin is a Fatal Error That Fuels Russian Aggression

President Zelenskyy's Statement

According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a stark warning that making concessions to Vladimir Putin is a catastrophic mistake which only serves to increase Russia's appetite for aggression. He urged the international community to avoid repeating the errors of the past, specifically those made since 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea and initiated military conflict in eastern Ukraine. Zelenskyy stressed that such misguided steps could lead to severe consequences for regional security. This warning comes as Ukraine continues to defend its sovereignty against a full-scale invasion that began in February 2022.

In his remarks, Zelenskyy also referenced Russia's past aggressive actions, including the invasion and occupation of parts of Georgia and the conflicts in Chechnya.

“Allowing an aggressor to take something is a huge mistake,” he stated, cautioning against any attempts to 'appease' Putin.
The President emphasized that such actions could become the first step toward a further escalation of the conflict.

The Situation on the Front

Zelenskyy also reported that Putin is losing between 30,000 and 35,000 personnel per month in the war, highlighting the conflict's intensity.

“My advice to everyone: don't do this with Putin,” he asserted, warning that otherwise, the aggressor could rebuild its military within five years.
Consequently, the President called for decisive action and a unified effort to counter Russian aggression, stating that concessions could lead to even greater problems in the future.

President Zelenskyy's statement underscores the ongoing challenges Ukraine faces in the context of Russian aggression. His appeals to the international community focus on the necessity of resolute action to prevent further escalation of the conflict. Amid the persistent threat from Russia, Ukraine's position remains unwavering: it is crucial not to repeat the past mistakes that led to the loss of territories and human lives. Developments in this arena will remain under close scrutiny by the international community, as the situation in Ukraine is pivotal for stability across the entire region.
