Zelenskyy Demands Ukraine's Seat at the Table for Any US-Russia Deals.
Zelenskyy's Stance on Economic Agreements
According to UATV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has insisted that Ukraine must be included in all negotiations between the United States and Russia that concern its territory. He emphasized that his country's direct participation is essential, as the outcomes of such talks directly impact Ukraine's sovereignty and national security.
Zelenskyy also referenced a 20-point, four-party plan developed by Ukraine, the US, the EU, and Russia. According to him, the documents outlining security guarantees for Ukraine are essentially complete.
“The documents are essentially ready—I was referring to the security guarantees for Ukraine,” he stated.
Furthermore, the president highlighted a lack of transparency regarding potential bilateral economic or business deals between the US and Russia.
“We do not know all of their bilateral economic or business arrangements,” he stressed.Zelenskyy made it clear that Ukraine would not support any possible agreements made without its involvement, declaring: “Ukraine will not support even potential such agreements by others about us without us.”
Scale and Implications of the Deals
The value of the so-called 'Dmitriev package' under discussion in this context is approximately $12 trillion. This staggering figure underscores why Ukraine's inclusion in all discussions affecting its future and economic interests is non-negotiable.
President Zelenskyy's comments highlight the critical need for Ukraine's voice in international negotiations that could reshape its economic and political landscape. As the war with Russia continues, being excluded from deals that could affect regional stability is a major concern for Kyiv. His firm position signals Ukraine's determination to defend its interests as it seeks deeper integration into global political and economic structures.
