According to inkorr.com: On October 10, 2025, during a briefing, President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the plans of the Ukrainian delegation for the upcoming visit to the USA, discussing the situation at the front and the need to protect key infrastructure facilities.
As part of this visit, discussions on agreements regarding air defense systems and HIMARS, as well as modifications for tactical ATACMS missiles, are planned. This process will be supported by already signed bilateral agreements with other countries. The delegation will include the Prime Minister, the head of the Presidential Office, and an authorized person on sanctions policy. Significant participation will also come from representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the National Security and Defense Council.
'We have proposed several strong defense agreements to America that will benefit our countries, and we need to activate our dialogue with America on this topic,' President Zelensky commented.
Protection of Critical Infrastructure
In Ukraine, there are 203 strategic facilities that require urgent protection using air defense systems. Among them are energy facilities, gas systems, water supply, and other important elements of infrastructure.
'Today we reviewed the headquarters - these are 203 key facilities that need to be protected with air defense systems. This is an important task, but we are working on it. We hope for active support from our partners, which will manifest not only in words but also in actions,' Zelensky emphasized.
At the briefing, President Volodymyr Zelensky detailed the plans of the Ukrainian delegation for the upcoming visit to the USA, focusing on important issues of protecting critical infrastructure in Ukraine and concluding agreements in the field of defense.
