Statement from Ukraine's President

According to TSN.ua: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that Russia is preparing new strikes against Ukraine, emphasizing the critical need for ballistic missile defense. He made these remarks following his return from the Munich Security Conference, where Ukraine's security and defense were key topics. Zelenskyy stressed that the threat of missile terror remains severe, with ballistic missile protection being the top priority for the winter. This warning comes as Russia's military continues to target Ukraine's civilian infrastructure with long-range weapons.

“The main thing is missiles for air defense, for protection against ballistic threats. This is the number one issue for this entire winter.” - Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Anticipating New Energy Support Packages

Furthermore, Zelenskyy announced that new energy support packages and measures to restore energy infrastructure are expected as early as next week. “Next week we anticipate meetings and work for new energy packages. This concerns both recovery from strikes and the necessary equipment,” he added. In preparation for potential new attacks, particular focus will be placed on reinforcing power generation and distribution facilities.

Given the current situation, protecting energy infrastructure and maintaining air defense is critically important for Ukraine. With the possibility of new missile strikes, coordination with international partners and the rapid provision of technology and equipment for recovery are key to maintaining stability in the country.

Government efforts aimed at strengthening energy security could significantly impact Ukraine's ability to withstand potential new attacks and ensure the population's basic needs are met.
