According to UATV: On March 23, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held discussions with Mozambican President Daniel Chapo. Their talks centered on energy cooperation, security matters, and strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
Zelenskyy confirmed that the conversation included potential natural gas supplies to Ukraine.
“Ukraine is interested in additional energy resource deliveries,” — Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This signals Kyiv’s push to diversify its energy sources and secure new supply routes amid ongoing regional pressures.
Security Cooperation and Other Topics
Beyond energy, the two leaders addressed security challenges. Zelenskyy noted that
“Mozambique is interested in our Ukrainian experience and technologies to strengthen internal security and protect people from terrorism”. This highlights a mutual interest in security collaboration and knowledge exchange.
