Zelensky Awards Fighters for the Kursk Operation in Sumy Region: Visit Details.
During his visit to the Sumy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the command post of the 2nd airborne assault battalion of the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade and awarded the soldiers with state awards. The head of state also held a meeting with the commanders.

Zelensky in Sumy Region - Visit Details
The President discussed the operational situation in the area of responsibility of the unit with the commanders, the existing problems, and ways to solve them. He also spoke about the experience of using unmanned systems and the fight against Russian drone operators.
'We discussed prospective weapons and providing brigades with resources for their own drone production: explosives, fiber optics, and other necessary components. Attention to the brigade's needs for anti-personnel mines, pickups, and ATVs', the report says.
Zelensky has already instructed to prepare a clear order of actions at the Stavka, which will allow brigades to purchase pickups directly under the same principle as it works with drones.
'Thank you for your service, for protecting Ukraine and our people. Thank you for the Kursk operation and for very brave steps', he added.
Recall that the president visited the Sumy region on the anniversary of the Kursk operation.
During the visit, the president also met with commanders and soldiers of the 225th separate assault regiment.
During his visit to the Sumy region, the President of Ukraine discussed the situation with the commanders of military units, awarded soldiers with honors, and expressed gratitude for their service and courage. Support for military brigades and their needs for new weapons and equipment were also discussed.
