Zelensky criticized the BRICS summit in Kazan

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the BRICS summit, which took place from October 22 to 24 in Russian Kazan. As reported by "Khvilya", he said this in an interview with Times of India.

Zelensky stated that the BRICS summit in Kazan "failed". The president expressed the opinion that the bloc is divided due to the "policy of war" of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

"Even from today's BRICS composition, we did not see many leaders that Russia counted on... There is no unity in BRICS. I believe that the bloc itself is being split by Putin with his policy of war," he said.

Zelensky also reminded that Saudi Arabia was not represented at the highest level. In his opinion, this indicates that there is "no unity" in BRICS due to Putin's policy regarding the war in Ukraine. According to him, the Russian dictator wants to divide the world into the so-called West+ and BRICS+.

"Everyone understands that he (Putin – ed.) is a murderer, he is a terrorist, and now it is just a cheaper source of energy resources, so some states use this," Zelensky noted.

Furthermore, he claims that the President of Brazil, Luis Inacio Lula da Silva, was not present at the summit because Russia is unable to accept the Chinese-Brazilian peace settlement proposal for the war in Ukraine, which is based on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

"It is a slap in the face to China and Brazil," added the president.

Zelensky also commented on the presence of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the summit. He called it support for Russia, hidden under the guise of neutrality.

"Regarding the presence of the UN Secretary-General, I think it is some kind of surrealism. This concerns not only the UN but many other countries. I think you cannot just say you are neutral in the war between Russia and Ukraine. You can't be neutral because it will mean you are on the side of Russia. Neutrality really only helps Russia. And there can be no neutrality between the aggressor and the victim," said the leader of Ukraine.

Earlier, Zelensky showed the world what Putin does after meeting with Guterres in Kazan.
