Zelensky outraged by possible consequences of frozen conflict with Russia

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a meeting with the head of the European Council expressed his concern about the consequences of a frozen conflict with Russia. According to him, this may only be a temporary pause before a new wave of aggression.

'If the conflict is frozen without a strong position for Ukraine, Putin may return in two, three, or five years. His goal is to completely destroy us,' Zelensky stated, emphasizing the need for international support to strengthen Ukrainian positions.

Zelensky commented on Ukraine's prospects for NATO accession

The president also expressed his opinion on the possibilities of Ukraine's accession to NATO, noting that Article 5 of the treaty, which guarantees collective defense, may not be applicable in areas where conflict is ongoing.
