President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited Sumy region. He spoke with commanders and soldiers of the 225th separate assault regiment.

The head of state visited the command post of the 225th separate assault regiment — the unit whose soldiers were the first to enter the territory of Khurschyna last year.

'I talked with the commanders. There were reports about the liberation of Andriivka and Kindrativka in Sumy region, Russian attempts to counterattack, and our next steps for the liberation of Ukrainian land.'

Zelensky reported that the commander of the regiment requested to scale the unit to the level of a brigade. The President promised to discuss this issue with the Commander-in-Chief.

'I thanked the soldiers for their service and the results brought by them during the Kursk operation, and awarded them state honors. We will always be grateful for your service to Ukraine. And we will always honor the memory of all who gave their lives for our country.'

Let us remind you that on August 4, Zelensky made a working trip to Kharkiv region, where he met with schoolchildren and students.
