Zelensky on Russia's Claims: Ukraine Will Not Surrender Its Lands to Occupants

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to Russia's desire to appropriate Ukrainian territories. According to him, this will not happen as long as Ukrainians stand side by side, supporting the army and the state.

About this, the head of state stated in an evening address on Saturday, August 9.

Zelensky noted that everyone clearly sees the tactics of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. The leader of the terrorist state is afraid of sanctions and does everything to escape them.
According to Zelensky, Putin wants to exchange a pause in the war for the legalization of the occupation of our land.

Currently, the Russian dictator wants to be forgiven for the seizure:

  • the south of Ukrainian Kherson region;
  • Zaporizhzhia;
  • the entire territory of Luhansk and Donetsk;
  • Crimea.
  • Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine will not allow a second attempt to divide the country.

    'Knowing Russia – where there is a second, there is also a third. Therefore, we stand firm on clear Ukrainian positions. We must end the war with a dignified peace based on a clear, reliable security architecture. Partners are ready to help us with this'
    , Zelensky noted.

    The head of state thanked everyone who today supported, who fights for our state, who works for Ukraine.

    He expressed gratitude to every soldier, every Ukrainian who understands that independence is based on dignity.

    'Fear and concessions do not make the lives of nations safe. Russian desires to dispose of Ukrainian territories will remain desires as long as Ukrainians stand side by side, supporting the army, supporting the state'
    , Zelensky added.

    Zelensky responded to Russia's desire to appropriate Ukrainian territories, assuring that such a situation has no place as long as Ukrainians remain loyal to their state and help each other.
