Zelensky visited the border areas of Sumy region, where he held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi and the head of the Sumy military administration.
The Commander-in-Chief talked about the operational situation on the most tense front lines and about measures to strengthen defense in the Toretske and Pokrovske directions.
"In certain areas of the Kursk region, another settlement is under Ukraine's control, and there is a replenishment of the exchange fund. The head of the Regional State Administration talked about the situation in the Sumy region after the start of the Kursk operation. A decrease in artillery shelling and a reduction in civilian casualties are observed," said the leader of Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized that special attention is being paid to coordinating actions between the military, police, and the State Emergency Service in the border areas.
"In particular, this concerns organizing humanitarian convoys to certain areas of the Kursk region," he added.
