According to Novyny.live: On February 16, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić. During this meeting, Zelenskyy presented Burić with the Order of Merit, First Class.
Cooperation and Key Issues Discussed
In their discussions on cooperation, Zelenskyy noted that
"many important issues were resolved over the past year, and there are plans for this year"and expressed hope that
"we can be very fast, even faster than last year". The President also emphasized the need for "greater unity within Europe in working to hold Russia accountable" and discussed establishing a compensation mechanism.
Zelenskyy stressed the importance of accountability for crimes, calling it "one of the factors for a worthy end to the war".
This meeting underscores Ukraine's efforts to strengthen international support amid its conflict with Russia and highlights the importance of collective action in ensuring justice for crimes committed.
