Today, August 23, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) regarding the implementation of new sanctions against those who assist Russia in waging war. In his decrees No. 612/2025 and No. 613/2025, published on the President's Office website, he noted that these measures are aimed at individuals who support the Russian state and maintain the occupation of Ukrainian territory.By decree No. 612/2025, sanctions were imposed against 28 citizens of various countries who assist the occupiers. President Zelensky emphasized that they are all responsible for their actions before Ukraine and its people. In his statement, the president called for toughness against those who assist the enemy.In turn, by decree No. 613/2025, sanctions were coordinated with Canada against 139 individuals who play a role in the Russian war. The decision to synchronize Ukrainian sanctions with those of partners is also being prepared. Zelensky's actions demonstrate determination in supporting the state and fighting the aggressor.
