Zelensky is heading to Berlin: Ukraine prepares for key peace negotiations.
According to ТСН: The Ukrainian government is preparing for important meetings with American and European partners in the coming days.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his traditional video address that he is heading to Berlin for a meeting with European leaders.
Plans for the Meetings
Zelensky revealed that:
"There will be a report from Umierov and our negotiation team on their contacts that have already taken place. General Hnatov and representatives of the Ukrainian defense and security sector will work on the details of security guarantees for Ukraine."
He also added that discussions are ongoing regarding the reconstruction of Ukraine after the war with the American and European sides.
"The most important thing is that there will be meetings with representatives of President Trump, as well as meetings with our European partners, with many leaders regarding the foundation of peace—a political agreement to end the war."
Chances for Ending the War
The President emphasized that there is currently a "significant chance" of ending the war. This is important for every Ukrainian city and community. He noted that Ukraine is working to ensure that peace is dignified and guarantees that Russia will not return with a new invasion.
"Thank you to all our partners who are helping us—helping Ukraine, and we will actively work in Berlin these days as constructively as possible with everyone who can truly make the agreement viable."
Earlier, it was reported that negotiations regarding Ukraine are actively ongoing, creating hope for the restoration of peace and stability in the region. These meetings could prove to be an important step towards achieving political agreements that could end the conflict and initiate the process of rebuilding the country after the war.
