Zelensky: Stopping Putin through negotiations is impossible, pressure is needed.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized that no negotiations will be able to stop the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. He reminded that Ukraine has never sought war and has always looked for ways to peacefully resolve the conflict.
'We agreed to an unconditional ceasefire, sought opportunities for peace, and have repeatedly offered the world to stop attacks in the sky, on land, and at sea. But it is Russia that continuously hampers this process - manipulates, drags out negotiations, terrorizes people with airstrikes, escalates assaults on the front. The war continues only because Moscow does not wish to end it,' Zelensky stressed.
Zelensky also noted that attacks by Russian terrorists on critical and civilian infrastructure pose a tremendous threat to Ukraine. According to him, just this week, more than 3270 strike drones, 1370 guided bombs, and about 50 different types of missiles have been used against Ukraine.
Pressure on Putin is needed
The president urged the international community to put pressure on Putin, as Russia only responds to strength. He has refused negotiations with Putin, emphasizing the need for determination in the fight against terrorism. Zelensky hopes for support from partners in the USA, Europe, and other countries to protect the lives of Ukrainians.
In his statement, the president stressed that Ukraine is constantly seeking ways to peacefully resolve the conflict. However, without effective pressure on the Russian government, this task becomes nearly impossible. Zelensky called on other states to support Ukraine in its efforts to protect its citizens and territory from Russian aggression.
The situation in Ukraine remains tense. Zelensky's address reflects not only a call to the global community but also Ukraine's commitment to the principles of peace. Undoubtedly, such statements by the president may strengthen international support and focus attention on the need for action for stability in the region.
