President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met on July 23 with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. He arrived in Kyiv for a working visit, which Zelensky himself announced on Telegram.

During the meeting, they discussed economic and defense cooperation, strengthening Ukraine's air defense, and opportunities for joint arms production. Zelensky expressed gratitude to Israel for the provided assistance in ensuring water supply systems for the southern regions, and also expressed hope for support for humanitarian demining of contaminated territories.
The head of state emphasized: 'Thank you for your willingness to help. Thank you for the visit. This is a signal of support for our country, especially during the war, in difficult times.'
For his part, Saar stressed the intention to strengthen relations between Ukraine and Israel in all areas, considering our country an important partner.
Let us remind you that earlier Zelensky announced the impending new stage of assistance from NATO, which includes not only strengthening technical support. In addition, the president expressed confidence that Ukraine could become a partner for African countries, helping to eliminate the influence of the Russian Federation after the conflict in Donbas and develop the Ukrainian defense sector.
The meeting between Zelensky and Saar focused on support and expansion of cooperation between Ukraine and Israel in various areas, including defense and humanitarian aid amid the war, as well as in perspective for developing mutually beneficial relations in the future.
