A petition calling for the reduction of the mobilization age for men from 60 to 50 years has appeared on the website of the Office of the President of Ukraine. The petition now has about 25 thousand votes and is awaiting consideration.
The author of the petition, Andriy Azarov, justifies his proposal by the need to improve the economic state of the country.
Currently, men aged 25 to 60 without military service experience and healthy in condition are subject to general mobilization.
Earlier, in September, eight categories of men lost their right to deferment from military service. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also plans to expand the functionality of the "Reserve+" application to attract more users.
