Case Details
According to court materials, in the evening of July 13, a fight occurred on Shishatska Street, 34. Police arrived at the scene - one of them was bitten on the shoulder by a drunk woman. The police sergeant sustained minor injuries: a bruise and abrasions. Due to the intentional injuries inflicted on the law enforcement officer while he was performing his official duties (according to part two of article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), a criminal proceeding was initiated and the case was sent to court.
Court Decision
During the court proceedings, the accused admitted her guilt. The woman reached a reconciliation agreement with the injured police sergeant, who stated that he had no claims against her. For her actions, the defendant was sentenced to a year of conditional imprisonment.
The court's decision will become final after 30 days from the moment of announcement. Currently, it can be challenged by filing an appeal.
It’s worth mentioning that an Odessa resident fled to occupied Donetsk and supported 'DPR'. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
