Zelensky and the Prime Minister of Greece discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defense: details of the conversation.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided to call the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Together they discussed enhancing the capabilities of Ukraine's air defense.
This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine on Tuesday, August 5.
Zelensky spoke with Mitsotakis - what was discussed
Zelensky informed Mitsotakis about the new tool for purchasing American weapons that Ukraine is implementing in cooperation with NATO member countries.
'We coordinate our steps and look for opportunities to provide more protection to Ukrainians. We talked about strengthening our air defense capabilities. This is very important right now, as Russia is dealing increasingly brutal blows to Ukraine', he noted.
For his part, the Prime Minister of Greece offered assistance in rebuilding Ukraine, particularly the port infrastructure of Odessa and the development of transport and logistics corridors in the Southeast European region.
We remind that Zelensky also discussed aid for Ukraine with the Prime Minister of Croatia today.
In particular, the Head of State had a phone conversation with the President of the United States Donald Trump, expressing gratitude for all efforts aimed at achieving a fair and lasting peace.
Meetings and conversations between state leaders are an important element of cooperation and support between countries in various fields, including strengthening defense and economic cooperation.
