Ukrainian Defense Forces Notch Major Gains
According to UATV: Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine's defense units have inflicted heavy damage on the front lines, destroying the following enemy assets:
- 1,230 Russian soldiers,
- 5 armored vehicles,
- 36 artillery systems.
In addition, more than 2,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down. These figures highlight the intensity of ongoing combat operations and Ukraine's efforts to counter Russian aggression.
Overall Toll on Russian Forces
From the start of the war on February 24, 2022, through June 16, 2023, Russia's total combat losses have reached approximately 1,385,420 personnel, with 1,230 eliminated in just the last day. Other significant losses for the Russian military include:
- 12,026 tanks,
- 24,768 armored fighting vehicles,
- 44,118 artillery systems.
During this same period, 1,872 multiple-launch rocket systems and 1,427 air defense units have also been destroyed.
It is worth noting that in the past day alone, Ukrainian forces also took out 5 armored vehicles and 36 artillery pieces, underscoring the broad scope of combat activity across all sectors.
