Joining the American president are US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Representative Steve Witkoff. The Russian delegation, besides Putin, includes Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Presidential Assistant Yuri Ushakov.
Previously, Putin and Trump met at the Elmendorf-Richardson military base and shook hands.
The day before, Trump announced what results he expects from the dialogue with Putin and explained how he would act in case of the Kremlin's reluctance to reach agreements.
