According to UATV: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a significant intensification of combat on February 22. Over the past day, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 78 enemy assaults across various sectors, including the Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, and Konstantynivka directions, amid a total of 138 combat engagements. Russian forces, in turn, conducted 74 artillery and rocket strikes, which included two airstrikes. This high level of activity underscores the ongoing pressure along the extensive front line.

Actions of Ukrainian Forces

During the day, Ukrainian military units successfully destroyed:

• two enemy command posts,
• three unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) control points,
• two command and observation posts,
• three areas where enemy personnel were concentrated,
• one electronic warfare station,
• three enemy artillery pieces.

Separately, one combat engagement was recorded in the Siversk-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions.

Russian forces increased their offensive actions across several axes. Specifically, Ukrainian defenders recorded:

• one breakthrough attempt in the Yuzhno-Slobozhanske direction,
• four attacks in the Kupiansk sector,
• six assaults in the Lyman sector,
• nine attempts to advance in the Sloviansk sector,
• 14 attacks in the Konstantynivka sector,
• 29 assault operations in the Pokrovsk sector,
• three attacks in the Alexandrivka direction,
• one attempt in the Orikhiv direction.

Consequently, the situation on the front remains tense, with both sides continuing active combat operations.

The intensification of frontline combat indicates an escalation in the conflict and potential shifts in tactics by both sides.
