228 Combat Clashes in a Day: Russian Forces Intensify Pressure on Lyman and Kupiansk Fronts.
Lyman and Kupiansk Frontlines: A Closer Look
According to UATV: Russian troops are persisting in their attempts to advance near the settlements of Lyman and Kupiansk, particularly around Kovsharivka, yet they are encountering serious setbacks. Over the past 24 hours, a total of 228 military engagements were recorded across the front. The Lyman sector in Donetsk Oblast remains one of the hottest points, underscoring the challenging conditions for Russian forces.
Military analyst Viktor Trehubov notes that Russian units operating north of Lyman have found themselves in a particularly precarious position.
Intense Fighting Along the Frontline
On the Kupiansk axis, the adversary is pushing toward Kovsharivka in an effort to split the Ukrainian bridgehead that stretches from Kupiansk to the Oskil River.
Meanwhile, on the Orikhiv front, Ukrainian troops successfully halted five enemy attempts to advance near Pavlivka, Stepnohorsk, and Stepove. These developments highlight the fierce combat underway and the volatile situation on the ground.
The eastern theater of Ukraine remains highly volatile, with both sides locked in active hostilities. Control over the Lyman and Kupiansk directions carries strategic weight for each party, as gains or losses here could significantly shape the conflict’s trajectory and the overall state of the front line.
