Ivan Miranda and His Ultra-Compact Electric Scooter
According to ITC.ua — Техно: Czech inventor Ivan Miranda has developed a compact electric scooter that can be assembled using a 3D printer. What makes this vehicle stand out is its ability to be disassembled and stored inside a suitcase, making it exceptionally easy to transport. Miranda sells the digital files for self-assembly for $40 USD, giving hobbyists the chance to build their own electric ride. For context, the scooter is designed for short urban trips and offers a glimpse into the future of personalized, low-cost transportation.
Assembly Process and Key Specifications
It took Miranda just 10 days to put the scooter together. He used a Prusa CORE One L 3D printer, which features a build surface measuring 300 x 300 mm. Without its batteries, the scooter weighs just over 14 kg, making it lightweight and easy to handle.
The scooter is powered by two 36-volt battery packs, giving it solid range and performance. This project earned Miranda the top prize at the Prague Maker Faire, highlighting both its innovative design and real-world practicality.
