Ukrainian Armed Forces Stop Russians on the Dnipro: How Anchored Mines Disrupt the Occupants' Attacks.
The Russians continue to try to gain a foothold on the Dnipro islands. However, the actions of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been successfully halted thanks to the use of anchored mines by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Mines on the Dnipro
The Ukrainian military has deployed anchored mines that have repeatedly halted the advance of the Russians on several Dnipro islands. The enemy, attempting to cross the river, has encountered them and temporarily postponed further actions.
'Mines have played a significant role. The Russians were loading water on the mines and could not continue their movement. Therefore, we continue to use them. We place mines on the shore and in the riverbed in certain directions, but of course, the exact locations are not disclosed.'
Spokesman of the Joint Forces Operation 'South' Vladyslav Voloshyn also noted that attacks on the islands by the Russians often begin at night. In the Ukrainian-controlled Orekhiv direction, hostilities by the Russian Federation occur more frequently during the day.
We recall that recently we talked about the situation on the Kherson front. We also examined in more detail how the Russian Federation plans to move south of Ukraine.
During military operations on the Dnipro islands, the Ukrainian military successfully uses anchored mines to stop the advance of Russian forces. This method allows them to temporarily hold off attacks and complicates the enemy's movement across the river, helping the Ukrainian forces maintain their positions.Read also
