The prices for cereals and pasta in Ukraine underwent changes in the first days of January. The Ministry of Finance reports this.
Ukrainian consumers always pay attention to the prices of cereals and pasta, which are the basis of many grocery baskets. Data from January 4, 2025, shows how the prices for these products changed.
According to the price monitoring of major retail chains, the cost of buckwheat has practically not changed in January compared to December 2024. The average price for a kilogram of buckwheat is 33.02 UAH, which is consistent with the December figure. At the same Time, it can be purchased cheapest at Auchan – 27.90 UAH/kg. However, at MegaMarket, one would have to pay 40 UAH for a kilogram.
As for rice, a slight price increase has been observed. In particular, long rice has not changed in price – 58.20 UAH per kilogram. Steamed long rice has increased from 66.88 to 67.17 UAH per kilogram. Round rice has also increased in price by 13 kopecks, rising from 69.54 to 69.67 UAH per kilogram.
Pasta demonstrates a slight decrease in cost – the average price has decreased by 7 kopecks, from 33.10 to 33.03 UAH per kilogram.
It was previously reported that supermarkets set new prices for milk, cheese, and butter.
