Drone Strikes Hit Moscow and Russian Regions: Flight Restrictions Imposed at Capital Airports.
Drone Attacks Across Russia
According to TSN.ua: Multiple regions of Russia, including Moscow, Tula, and Rostov, have come under drone assault. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin confirmed that one unmanned aerial vehicle was intercepted and shot down as it approached the capital. In the Tula region, Governor Dmitry Milyaev reported that air defense forces had successfully destroyed another drone.
In Rostov Oblast, drone incursions were repelled across four separate districts. Meanwhile, authorities in Bryansk issued a warning about an ongoing 'drone threat.' As a precautionary measure, Moscow's Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports temporarily halted both incoming and outgoing flights to ensure safety.
Long-Range Strikes by Ukraine's SBU
At the same time, Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) carried out three long-range attacks deep inside Russian territory. One of these targeted an oil refinery in Ukhta, located roughly 1,700 kilometers from Ukraine, while another struck a chemical plant in Perm Krai, approximately 1,600 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. These developments highlight a sharp escalation in the ongoing conflict.
The combination of drone attacks inside Russia and long-range Ukrainian strikes signals a significant intensification of hostilities between the two nations. This growing volatility not only threatens both countries but also raises broader regional security concerns. Russia's heightened air defense alert and the increased frequency of such attacks underscore the deepening anxiety over safety amid the protracted war.
