According to ТСН: Russia reported that among the debris of drones that allegedly attacked the residence of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Novgorod region, a surviving controller was found. From it, specialists of the Russian intelligence supposedly "decoded" routing data.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, these materials were handed over to the representative of the military attaché at the US embassy in Moscow.

Transfer of data to the USA

The meeting with the American representative was personally held by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff (GRU) of Russia, Igor Kostyukov. He stated that he handed over to the USA both the "navigation controller" and its "decoding", which confirms that the target of the attack on December 29 was a complex of buildings of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in the Novgorod region.

The head of the GRU assured that the supposedly downed Russian drones had "well-preserved" navigation systems, and they are "technically sound".

Ukraine's response

It should be reminded that earlier the Russian Ministry of Defense published a "map" that, according to them, shows the route of movement of drones that allegedly attacked President Putin's residence. Ukraine officially denied these accusations, calling them a provocation and "another lie from the RF", the aim of which is to justify new strikes on Ukrainian cities and block diplomatic progress.

Recently, US President Donald Trump reposted an article titled: "The statement about the 'attack' on Putin shows that it is the RF that is hindering peace".

This situation arouses significant interest in the international community, as it may affect future relations between Ukraine and Russia, as well as diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the conflict. Depending on the reactions of the parties, this may become a new stage in the tense relations between Kyiv and Moscow.
