According to Novyny.live: On June 23, a Russian attack struck Kryvyi Rih, killing three civilians and injuring more than 20 others. Ukrainian President's Response
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the incident, stating that:
“every such strike is a direct result of insufficient pressure on Russia.” - Volodymyr Zelenskyy
He further emphasized that “any delay in delivering weapons leads to more civilian casualties.” Zelenskyy also noted that “the Kremlin completely disregards the possibility of a peaceful resolution” and “Moscow shows an absolute unwillingness to compromise.”
In light of these events, the president called on international partners to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense systems amid ongoing Russian strikes. This underscores the severity of the situation and the urgent need for action to protect civilians.
This attack highlights the escalating violence in Ukraine, particularly against civilian infrastructure. Zelenskyy’s remarks about the need for greater pressure on Russia and increased international support signal that Ukrainian authorities are seeking both military and diplomatic backing to safeguard the population. The situation remains tense, and the events in Kryvyi Rih could serve as a catalyst for shifts in international policy toward Ukraine.
