Zaporizhzhia Under Attack

According to UATV: A Russian drone assault on the city of Zaporizhzhia has left two people dead and three others injured. The strike occurred around six in the morning, targeting a residential area of private houses. One home was completely destroyed, while more than 15 others sustained damage.

Among the victims were the parents of two children, aged 15 and 11. Witnesses described the terrifying moments of the explosion. Iryna, a local resident, recounted:

“There was a constant buzzing, and then—an explosion. Drywall fell on me from the ceiling. I immediately rushed to cover my grandson.”

Another witness, Ivan, recalled: “I heard a bang and that was it. When I came to, a window frame was lying on top of me. I ran out barefoot and started helping neighbors. I pulled the children out. The parents were buried and burned alive.”

Over the past two days of shelling in Zaporizhzhia, ten residents have been wounded. In total, approximately 20 residential buildings have been damaged, highlighting the extensive destruction caused by the aggression. This tragedy once again underscores the horrific toll war takes on civilians.

Ongoing Aggression and Its Impact

This attack is part of a prolonged military campaign that continuously endangers the lives and safety of civilians in Ukraine. As city residents still struggle to restore their daily routines, such incidents serve as a grim reminder of the constant risks Ukrainians face amid the war.

The event may also shape international perceptions of the conflict and reinforce the urgent need for humanitarian aid to support the affected population.
