Emergency Power Outages in Kyiv and the Region: Shutdown Schedules Canceled

According to ТСН: As a result of a series of massive attacks on the energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, emergency power outages have been implemented. Energy workers are working continuously; however, adverse weather conditions are complicating their efforts.

According to Ukrenergo, residents of the region should not expect normal schedules, as stabilization outages have been canceled until further notice.

“Currently, emergency power outages are taking place in Kyiv and several districts of the Kyiv region. Hourly outage schedules are temporarily inactive. A return to the predicted outage schedules will take place immediately after the stabilization of the situation in the energy system,” said Ukrenergo.

Specialists are trying to improve the electricity supply situation as soon as possible and are asking residents to conserve electricity.

What is the situation in the capital and Kyiv region?

As a reminder, after the shelling in Kyiv, the light outage schedules were changed, and the previous schedules were canceled.

About five hundred apartment buildings remain without heating.

In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, several supermarkets have temporarily closed, including Novus in Poznyaky and Osokorky, as well as Silpo. ATB reports uninterrupted operation.

Expert Volodymyr Omelychenko noted that with each new attack on the energy sector, the situation is only worsening, as the system is physically unable to withstand constant blows, despite the efforts of specialists.

In such a critical situation, it is important for residents to follow the recommendations of energy workers and remain calm. The restoration of power supply depends on many factors, including weather conditions and the scale of damage to infrastructure. All citizens should be prepared for possible changes in the electricity supply regime in the coming days.
