A Russian strategic bomber appeared over the Black Sea: what does this mean.
Recently, there has been an unusually high level of enemy aviation activity over the Black Sea. A Russian strategic aircraft was spotted, which is a rare occurrence, military officials noted.
Spokesman for the Naval Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Pletenchuk said in the program 'Unified News': 'In recent days, increased activity of Russian aircraft and reconnaissance drones has been observed over the Black Sea. Defense forces even detected a strategic bomber that has not been seen in the area for a long time.'
Aviation in the area — how it is happening
The report noted that the number of Russian aircraft and drones detected in a day has significantly increased. Even the use of a 5th generation Su-57 aircraft was recorded. They are used for various tasks, including patrol and countering drones and mines.
Experts believe that the presence of Russian strategic aviation over the Black Sea may be part of enemy demonstrative actions or reconnaissance activities.
It was also recently reported about Russian missile carriers in the Black Sea and the downing of 'Shaheds' over Odessa region.
In recent days, increased activity of Russian aviation over the Black Sea has been observed, raising security threats in the region and potentially having strategic significance for Russia.
