Australia’s Ongoing Support for Ukraine
According to UATV: Australia is committing another $100 million to help Ukraine acquire military equipment, raising its total contribution to $1.8 billion. The funds will be delivered in two equal installments of $50 million each over the next 12 months.
With this latest pledge, Australia’s overall assistance to Ukraine now exceeds $1.8 billion, underscoring the nation’s dedication to aiding Kyiv amid the ongoing armed conflict. Canberra is also part of the 'coalition of the willing,' a group of countries supplying military support to Ukraine.
Global Aid Efforts
In addition to financial aid, the Australian Defence Force continues to train Ukrainian military personnel under Operation Kudu. Recently, the Ramstein Contact Group meeting approved new support packages worth approximately $4 billion, reflecting the international community’s growing commitment to Ukraine’s fight.
This decision highlights Australia’s sustained active policy of backing Ukraine as the conflict persists.
