Biden ordered the Pentagon to increase arms deliveries for Ukraine
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, reacted to the nighttime airstrike by Russia on Ukraine. He instructed the Pentagon to further increase the supply of weapons to our country.
In a statement from Biden, it is noted that Russia launched waves of rockets and drones at Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure on the morning of Christmas. Russia's goal was to deprive Ukrainians of access to heat and electricity during the winter, reports RBC-Ukraine.
'Let me be clear: the Ukrainian people have the right to live in peace and security, and the United States and the international community must continue to support Ukraine until it defeats Russia's aggression,' Biden's statement says.
He also pointed out that the USA has delivered hundreds of air defense missiles to Ukraine in recent months, and even more are on the way. Furthermore, he ordered the US Department of Defense to increase arms deliveries.
'I have instructed the Department of Defense to continue the arms deliveries to Ukraine, and the United States will tirelessly work to strengthen Ukraine's positions in its defense against Russian troops,' the US President summarized.
