The electricity supply between Finland and Estonia through the underwater cable Estlink 2 is not operational, reports the head of the dispatch service of Fingrid, the company that manages Finland's electricity networks. The cause of the malfunction has not yet been established.
Despite the possibility of vandalism, the company plans to assess the situation as a whole and report the reason for the malfunction as soon as it becomes known.
According to Fingrid, the transmission capacity was 658 MW during the outage between Finland and Estonia.
