Father and son attacked a TCC worker in Prykarpattia: what punishment the court imposed.
In the Bohorodchany District Court of Ivano-Frankivsk region in Prykarpattia, residents of the village of Stara Huta were sentenced. The 55-year-old father and his 26-year-old son were found guilty of intentionally inflicting light bodily injuries on a serviceman while performing his official duties.
According to the court ruling, the incident occurred on September 3, 2024, when the TCC employees arrived at the Berehy area to deliver summonses. The defendants reacted aggressively, with the father spraying tear gas in the eyes of the TCC employee, while the son threw a working angle grinder at him, resulting in the victim sustaining scratches in the neck area.
Both men admitted their guilt, expressed remorse, and compensated for the damage. The court sentenced each of them to three years of imprisonment but released them from serving the actual sentence with a probation period of two years. In addition, the angle grinder used in the incident was seized and the mobile phone was returned to its owner.
In this case, the residents of Stara Huta received appropriate punishments for their aggression towards servicemen. The court considered all the circumstances of the case and made a decision that takes into account the guilt of the defendants, as well as their remorse and compensation for the inflicted damage. It was noted that such behavior is intolerable and has appropriate consequences in the form of long-term imprisonment.
