Silvio Berlusconi's Private Villa for Sale for a Record Amount

According to The Sun: The villa of Silvio Berlusconi, known for its 'bunga bunga' parties and nuclear threat bunker, is up for sale at an impressive £432 million.

This luxurious complex also features a sea cave with access to the ocean, a helicopter pad, an artificial volcano, and even a fake Roman amphitheater.

This massive residence was the most expensive property of the former Prime Minister of Italy. Here he hosted guests such as Sir Tony Blair, George Bush, and Vladimir Putin.

The villa has been the subject of scandals due to the 'bunga bunga' parties that Berlusconi held at his properties in Sardinia, Milan, and Rome.

Currently, a potential buyer, a wealthy Arab businessman, is negotiating the purchase of Villa Certosa, located in Porto Rotondo on the northern coast of Sardinia.

If the deal goes through, it will become the largest residential real estate sale in history, according to Mansion Global.

The villa includes 68 rooms, including beds made from Mexican cacti, megalithic stones, and several pools.

Guests are provided with separate bungalows situated around the artificial volcano, which sometimes 'erupts' fire and smoke.

In 2006, neighbors complained about the volcano's 'eruption' being too close and even called the police.

The sea cave at the villa serves for storing boats and contains a pool with a mosaic of Poseidon at the bottom.

The authenticity of the cave was debated for many years, but it was confirmed only in 2012 when a photographer managed to capture it.

“I installed the cave at the recommendation of my security services after receiving numerous threats to my life,” Berlusconi said.

Stairs connect this amazing sea cave with the rest of the luxurious villa, which now belongs to the five children of the late AC Milan owner.

The villa is being sold by Sotheby’s International Realty in partnership with Knight Castle Real Estate.

On the agency's website, it says: “Elegant architecture on multiple levels, La Certosa opens to luxurious loggias and panoramic terraces providing unforgettable views of the Gulf of Marinella.”

“In the center is a spacious central courtyard surrounded by a huge main hall, luxurious guest suites, and private accommodations for staff.”

“The interiors impress with hand-painted ceramics and exquisite details made of Sardinian white granite, creating an atmosphere of understated chic.”

The message also noted: “Among numerous features are a relaxation and fitness area, a private helicopter pad, and even an underground bunker for nuclear shelter.”

Years ago, there were rumors that this property could be purchased by the Saudi royal family.

Vladimir Putin frequently visited Berlusconi's villa, interacting with the Italian leader during their time in power from 2003.

Berlusconi passed away in 2023 at the age of 86, and the estate now serves as a resting place for his ashes.
