The Ukrainian military is actively countering attacks by Russian forces in the Kursk direction. The most tense situation is currently in the Kholodnytska and Yunakivka communities.

This was reported by Ivan Shevtsov, head of the press service of the 'Steel Border' brigade during an interview on 'Den.LIVE'.

What the situation is like in the Kursk direction

According to him, in other sections of the Ukrainian-Russian border, hostilities are less intense, but the Russian army constantly fires on the positions of our troops and border settlements.

'The enemy does not use equipment - assaults are conducted by groups on foot, usually consisting of 3-5 people. If a few months ago they used armored vehicles, now everything is done exclusively on foot', Shevtsov emphasized.

Our troops continue to hold the defense, despite the constant pressure from the enemy.

The border guards and the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain in their positions and are ready for further developments.
