Mass Attack Thwarted by Ukrainian Defenders
According to Novyny.live: Soldiers from the 66th Mechanized Brigade, named after Prince M. Khorobryi, successfully pushed back a large-scale Russian offensive near the Lyman axis in Donetsk Oblast. The clashes resulted in the elimination of close to 50 Russian personnel and the destruction of more than 20 pieces of military equipment. This operation highlights the effectiveness of Ukrainian defensive efforts in the region.
Among the destroyed assets were:
- 6 armored vehicles, including BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles and BTR-82 armored personnel carriers;
- 10 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs);
- 5 motorcycles.
Additionally, reports confirm that 43 occupiers were neutralized, underscoring the strong performance of Ukrainian forces. A portion of the Russian troops began to withdraw, signaling a decline in their morale along this sector of the front.
