Ukraine proposes to introduce a new traffic sign that will expand the functionality of public transport lanes. This was reported by 'ONews'.

Following the example of European countries, these lanes will allow not only buses and trolleybuses to travel, but also cars with two or more passengers, taxis, and electric vehicles.

This innovation is aimed at solving several important problems at once. First of all, a significant reduction in traffic jams in cities is expected, as priority lanes will help relieve main roads, especially during rush hours.

Moreover, the new approach is expected to have a positive impact on the environment: encouraging carpooling will reduce the number of vehicles on the roads, as well as the volume of harmful emissions into the air.

Another important advantage will be the increased road safety due to clear organization and distribution of traffic flows.

It was also previously reported that the green color will disappear from traffic lights: new standards will be introduced in Ukraine.
