The commander of a platoon of the drone battalion of the Third Separate Assault Brigade, Semen 'Barber' Semkiv, shared that January 2024 was the hardest month of the war for him. He stated this in an interview with 'Channel 24'.

This was January 2024. We were somewhat separated from our brigade and went to another one, I do not wish to say which one for understandable reasons. But personally for me, it was the worst month of the war in my life. It was an incredibly difficult experience: starting with the provision of infrastructure and combat conditions.

During a battle in Khurschyna, his company was ambushed, and the defender himself was shot at by a Russian soldier. Despite suffering five bullet wounds, Zhukovets managed to evacuate his personnel.

Additionally, the fighter of the 65th brigade defended a semi-encircled position for 56 days. Due to the density of shelling and long distances, his replacement was not possible as comrades who were supposed to relieve him were getting wounded on the way. Therefore, the fighter fought with a partner against the Russian assault troops.
